EMC Contributes to Local Fundraising in 2013

In 2013, Ellis Mortgages Canada has had the privilege of participating in a number of fundraising endeavours in the Vancouver area.  Giving back to our clients and their communities is an integral part of EMC’s culture, and we have been happy to donate to the following organizations on behalf of our clients:

Located in a heritage fire station built in 1906, the Firehall Arts Centre produces a season of eclectic theater, dance and interdisciplinary performances and acts as a host to visual arts exhibitions in its intimate gallery/lounge.  Each year the Centre hosts over two hundred performances bringing audiences into the heart of the city to enjoy artistic works, view art works in the gallery and sip a beverage on the enclosed courtyard.

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is a unique, two-day cycling event.  The money raised for The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefits the BC Cancer Foundation and supports leading clinicians, scientists, and researchers whose search for new discoveries and improved patient outcomes will have a real impact in our communities throughout the province, across Canada, and around the world.

The North Shore Twins Baseball Club, based at Parkgate Park in North Vancouver, BC, has been the top program for elite high-school-age baseball players on the North Shore since 1990.  Operated by coaches with professional and college baseball credentials, and volunteers, it serves in excess of 60 boys annually.

Garth Ellis and the EMC team would like to thank our clients for bringing these organizations to our attention.  By getting good people into better mortgages, we have achieved a degree of success that has allowed us to contribute to the betterment of our community.
