Garth Ellis continues his appointment as Director of Membership for the Mortgage Brokers Association of BC for the 4th consecutive year.

VANCOUVER, B.C. (November 20, 2008) – Ellis Mortgages Canada® is pleased to congratulate President Garth Ellis with his continued appointment as a Director of Membership for the Mortgage Brokers Association of B.C. (MBABC). This selection follows three previous years on the Board of the Association.

The Mortgage Brokers Association of British Columbia represents the province's mortgage industry and exists to support and enhance professionalism and ethical standards within the mortgage industry.

In his continuing role as Director of Membership, Garth holds the on-going responsibility of expanding and enhancing the value and benefit of the MBABC to all members of the Association. Over the last few years, a special focus for Garth has been to accelerate the growth of the Association. He is proud of the accomplishments he and his fellow board members have achieved in this regard, as they have witnessed an increase in membership of almost 100%, now totaling almost 2000 members.

Garth is also proud to be chairing the sub-committee responsible for the securing of presenters and speakers for the MBABC’s Annual Conference and Trade Show in April 2009. This Trade Show is consistently the second most attended event for mortgage professionals in Canada; second only to the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) Annual Conference and Trade Show.
