EMC President, Garth Ellis Wins “Lifetime Achievement” Award

VANCOUVER, B.C. (April 23, 2010) – Ellis Mortgages Canada, is pleased to announce that our President, Garth Ellis, has been honored with the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement” award from Canadian Mortgage Professional. The CMP Canadian Mortgage Awards are the premier industry event recognizing excellence and achievement in the Canadian mortgage industry.

The “Lifetime Achievement” award is an award of excellence in honor of outstanding achievement by an individual within the mortgage brokering industry. Each year, the CMP editorial team chooses a worthy figure from the industry based on nominations and soliciting suggestions from the judges and various leaders in the industry.

To be recognized, individuals must be nominated in by their peers in the industry. Extensive research is conducted and the nominees must complete a comprehensive questionnaire which enables the independent judging panel to assess and examine candidates. The panel evaluates an individuals’ lifetime achievement and overall contribution to the progress of the industry.

Announcement of the award winners in 20 different categories took place at an “Oscars” style gala on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Liberty Grand Hotel in Toronto, Ontario.
