How to enter
Contest begins May 18, 2010. All entries must be received by 5pm, July 30, 2010, the contest closing date. Verico Ellis Mortgages Canada Inc. “EMC” (the sponsor) is not responsible for any entries changed, cancelled, destroyed, mutilated, lost or misdirected. No purchase necessary. Although online access and an e-mail account can be used in order to participate in this contest, no purchase of any kind is required. Many public libraries, retail businesses and others offer free access to computers and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free e-mail accounts.

To enter the “EMC” Client Appreciation contest, anyone who contacts “EMC” (the contest sponsor) by mail, phone, email or in person to obtain a mortgage will be automatically entered in the contest if the mortgage transaction occurs and closes between May 18 and 5pm July 30, 2010 . The client will then be emailed a link to the complete rules and regulations of the contest at www.emcmortgages.ca/clientappreciationdraw.htm .

“EMC” (the sponsor) may collect certain personal, usage and purchase information. All information collected by email, by personal contact or by mail for this contest is protected against unauthorized access. By contacting “EMC” (the sponsor), each entrant consents to collection and use of this information by “EMC” (the sponsor). If any entrant fails to provide all the required information or declines to be entered in the contest, he or she will not be automatically entered into the contest. “EMC” (the sponsor) will not willfully disclose individually identifiable information about an entrant to any third party without first receiving that individual's permission. “EMC” (the sponsor) will not share or sell that individual's personal information to other companies, organizations or individuals. Prizes
There is a total of one (1) prize available to be won. The Grand Prize will consist of a 40” Sony Bravia 1080 LCD HDTV. Approximate retail value: $850.00 (CAD).

The prize must be accepted as awarded, has no cash value, cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed. All decisions of the judges are final.

How to win
A random draw for the Grand Prize will be held by the independent judging organization in North Vancouver , BC on August 3, 2010 . This draw will be made from all eligible entries received between May 18 and 5pm , July 30, 2010 through either the entry website, or through personal contact with “EMC”(the sponsor). Chances of winning will be dependent upon the total number eligible entries received during that draw period. The selected entrant will be contacted by phone or email within 2 weeks of the draw. One prize per person/household/email address.

In order to win, the selected entrant must first correctly answer the time-limited mathematical, skill-testing question administered by mail. In order to be declared a winner, the selected entrant must first sign a Winner's Affidavit and a Winner's Agreement (including a Publicity Release), agreeing to the use of his or her name, photo, voice and/or statements without compensation other than the prize offered. The skill-testing question must be answered correctly and the required forms signed by the selected entrant before awarding of the prize can take place. If the answer to the question is incorrect and/or that entrant refuses to sign the forms, that selected entrant will be disqualified and another draw will take place.

By entering the contest, all entrants agree to be bound by the rules of the contest and agree to the decisions of the independent judging organization with respect to all aspects of this contest. All permanent legal residents of British Columbia are eligible to win, providing they are over the age of majority on May 18, 2010 and providing that they are not employees of Verico Ellis Mortgages Canada Inc., their advertising or promotional agencies or the independent judging organization or family members with whom these employees are domiciled. All entries become the property of “EMC” (the sponsor).

“EMC” (the sponsor) reserves the right to substitute another prize of equal or greater value should any prize become unavailable for any reason and to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever including, but not limited to, printing or production errors pertaining to the contest promotional materials, unavailability of the prize due to situations with prize suppliers which are beyond the reasonable control of the sponsor or if any virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the sponsor corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and, should such an attempt be made, the sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

The sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any entry to be received by the sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the entrant's or any other person's computer, related to or resulting from downloading any materials in this promotion. The sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to modify the contest rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the contest.

The contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
