Garth Ellis, President of Ellis Mortgages Canada began his mortgage brokerage career in 1995. The volume of mortgages Garth has originated since 1995 exemplifies his success, as EMC is now Canada’s largest producing independent mortgage brokerage firm. Garth initially focused on arranging mortgages primarily for clients in Vancouver West, but the demand for his experience and knowledge has grown regionally and nationally. He now serves clients all across Canada.

Garth's initiative and proactive nature have lead to various professional successes. He is a long-standing member and previous Director of the Mortgage Brokers Association of BC (MBABC), serving as Chair of Membership & Inter-provincial Relations during his tenure. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP). In 2007 Garth was the recipient of the inaugural “Mortgage Broker of the Year" award presented by Canadian Mortgage Professional magazine. The CMP awards are the premier industry event recognizing excellence and achievement in the Canadian mortgage industry. In 2010 CMP also presented Garth with the "Lifetime Achievement" award. This award recognizes outstanding achievement by an individual within the mortgage brokering industry.
